Reversal Work: The Missing Piece in Your Spiritual Practice

For the past few years, I have been truly understanding the power of different types of candle work and one of the most important, yet often overlooked, is reversal work.

So many people focus their spiritual practice on attraction: money candles, road openers, prosperity work, love workings. And yes, those are beautiful and necessary. But I’ve come to realize something deeply important:

We are quick to call things in…But how often are we making sure we are cleared out first?

Why Reversal Work Matters

I was recently speaking with a friend about this very thing. We talked about how people stay busy lighting candles for abundance and relationships, but forget to maintain their spiritual hygiene.

Reversal candle work is designed to reverse and return energy that has been sent toward you. Whether it’s envy, jealousy, ill intentions, spiritual attacks, gossip, or intentional rootwork reversal work sends that energy back to its source and clears it off your spirit.

If you don’t know what reversal candle work is, think of it as spiritual protection in motion. It doesn’t just shield you it pushes back. It is not about harm. It is about restoration of balance. And clearing the energy of things.

The Reality of Spiritual Interference

In my spiritual experience, I have seen people get physically ill throwing up, fatigued, emotionally unstable, even hospitalized because someone placed roots on them or sent heavy energy their way. Sometimes it isn’t even formal rootwork. Sometimes it is sustained envy. Sometimes it is deep jealousy. Sometimes it is someone speaking against you consistently. Energy is real. Intention is real. And spiritual contamination is real.

When you are constantly working money candles, love candles, and success candles but not clearing your field, it’s like pouring clean water into a dirty glass.

Reversal work removes what does not belong to you.

What Reversal Work Can Reveal

One powerful thing about reversal candles is that they can show you things. The way the candle burns, the glass, the smoke, the wax it can reveal patterns and layers of what has been placed on you over time. Let alone from some the candles phyically speak to them.

Working With Your Spirits

One thing I will say: reversal work is not one-size-fits-all.

The spirits you work with matter. Your ancestors matter. The spiritual system you operate in matters.

If you work within certain spritual traditions your approach and interpretation may look different. Even within similar traditions, spirits have different strengths.

Understanding how your spirits move, how they communicate, and how they protect you will determine how your reversal outcomes manifest.

Some reversals move quickly. Some reveal layers. Some require follow-up cleansing.

Discernment is key.

Attraction Without Protection Is Incomplete

If you are consistently doing prosperity work but your money keeps leaving…If you are doing love work but relationships keep collapsing…If you are doing road openers but obstacles reappear…

It may not be that your attraction work is weak.

It may be that you need to clear what is blocking you first.
